Quo Review (Finally!)

Okay, so I've been meaning to make a video review for the Quo Eye Wonder Illuminating Pen that I bought a few weeks ago, and just haven't gotten around to it. I hoped to take pictures to give an idea of how it worked out overall with creasing, and overall staying power, and I may still get to that in the future. For now I'm just putting up a written review on the product, which is proving to be a lot easier! Let's start with the packaging. As you can see, it's not a very large container. It holds only 2.7 mL of product, which seems tiny compared to the 10 mL of product that Urban Decay's Primer Potion has. That little piece sticking out on the bottom of the "pen", is actually a pump used to get the product out of the top. Too bad it takes about 10 pumps just to get any product! As well, it comes with a built in brush at the top to help with application. Unfortunately, I just find the brush to be a bit annoying as it tends to get in the way, and I end up having to blend out the product with my finger anyway. As far as the actual result, I was a little disappointed that it didn't really make my eyeshadows appear any more vibrant than without primer.

Overall, I'd have to say that you'd be better off spending a few extra dollars on UDPP, or even Too Faced Shadow Insurance. You get better quality, and although the price seems expensive, it's worth it when you realize that Quo's primer retails for $13.99 plus tax for only 2.7 mL of product. The others are both $17, with 10 mL of product. So unless you can't obtain UDPP, then yes Quo would be an alright alternative. But if you want the good stuff, ya gotta spend the extra dolla dolla bills! Cheers ladies :)

Drugstore Makeup Reviews

I thought it might be easier just to upload this video instead of talking myself silly about my new makeup haul :)

Drugstore Haul!

Ayayay, so it's clearly been forever since I've updated this puppy! I decided to delete it because I just didn't have any ideas and blah blah but here I am with a new post. Okay so Shoppers Drugmart is having ridiculous sales right now. And I say ridiculous, because I went in there with a list of things I wanted/needed and everything I ended up buying was on sale. When does this ever happen?

So anyshoes, I was really stoked about getting some new eyeshadows because I heard Annabelle (holla Canadian cosmetic companies!) was doing a promotion where if you buy 4 eyeshadows you get this cute little palette free. Unfortunately at the shoppers in my hometown, the cosmetic selection isn't so great so they didn't have them. Nothing really caught my eye in the way of eyeshadows, so I think I'm just gunna wait to buy everything from Coastal Scents. I seriously made a wishlist and added 2 pages full of stuff that I want. If you're not familiar with Coastal Scents, they have amazing palettes and good quality brushes plus a whole whack of other stuff at super cheap prices. Love love! Gaahh I'm am just talking away here...okay! Don't wanna bombard you with writing so I'll do reviews on the makeup I got today probably tomorrow, and I'll probably do a video review for my YouTube as well.

Upcoming reviews:

  • Rimmel Natural Bronzer
  • Almay Clear Complexion Concealer
  • Quo Eye Wonder Illuminating Pen
Until then, stay beautiful!

Garage Band

So this is my first post on my second blog! Let me tell you, this won't be my last blog though. I've been finding some pretty good deals lately, both within fashion & beauty, and I really wanted to share them with the world (or whoever may stumble across this). I want to start a music blog too, but am having trouble figuring out the whole adding-mp3s-to-posts dealy. -sigh- someday. *Update*: Success on the music blog! Still no mp3s, however :(
DJ Won't You Play My Song.

Anywho, so the first deal I want to talk about is actually pretty basic. Yesterday I picked up two simple spaghetti-strap tanks at Garage; one black & one white for layering. Yipyap, my point is they were only 8 bucks each! Now let's get serious, this is Garage we're talking about here. A couple years ago I bought a tank top there and it came to $22. They're just simple tanks but for $8, that's what I call a fashion deal!
I might just have to go back & pick them up in every colour!
